Welcome!

Hi! I’m Rebecca, a sexual behavior researcher with a certification in intimacy and relationship coaching, and I bridge behavioral science with real-life intimacy.

I have over two decades experience at behavioral science research centers at Columbia, UNC-Chapel Hill and Florida State Universities.

My research passion is creating a world where sex is not only safer, but also more pleasurable. From pioneering HIV prevention tools like a vaginal ring and a rectal douche, to studying how couples can use HIV self-tests to spark open communication, my work blends science with intimacy.

I have also traveled worldwide as an accomplished speaker and workshop facilitator to guide conversations about how identity, relationships, and cultural context shape sexual behavior. I am an expert on factors that drive acceptability, trust, and real-world use of sexual health tools.

Right now, I am analyzing data gathered through The Pleasure Surveys I designed to inform new resources for those who want to be more pleasure and attuned partnerships.

As a research consultant, I can assist you in reaching your goals, whether you want to know what evidence already exists or you'd like to design your own research to support your business.

My skillset includes:

  • Research proposal development

  • Survey design

  • Focus group/interview guide design

  • Conducting qualitative interviews or leading focus groups

  • Participant recruitment

  • Research ethics

  • Data analysis

  • Presenting, writing and disseminating research findings

  • Development of evidence-informed practices and workshops

  • Summarizing current topical research evidence

I am also available as a guest on Podcasts!

When I'm not researching, I enjoy writing about self-discovery and societal scripts on my Substack (Life, Unscripted).
